A little bit about me...

My initial interest in complementary therapies started through personal health issues, I was initially very sceptical (especially having a sciences background), but in time this turned to amazement as my own condition steadily improved following Acupuncture treatment. I was left grateful, inspired and intrigued by this therapy. My curiosity led me to embark upon an intense 4 year Acupuncture degree course at the London College of Traditional Chinese Medicine (LCTA). During my final year, whilst working every week as a student practitioner in the college’s clinic, I gained great exposure to a wide range of conditions which included treating gynaecological issues, fertility, musculoskeletal, migraine and digestive disorders.

I have also worked in the Pharmaceutical industry for 15 years, again through my interest in wanting to help others achieve good health and well-being. This Western medical exposure has certainly complimented the Traditional Chinese Acupuncture that I practice, helping me to relate and understand patients’ conditions and concerns.

Acupuncture is currently one of the fastest growing complementary health therapies and I enjoy helping it to grow further in order to help those that benefit from its therapy.

I am a member of the British Acupuncture Council (BAcC, http://www.acupuncture.org.uk/index.php) and abide by their strict codes Code of Safe Practice and Professional Conduct.

I am registered with the South Cambridgeshire Council.

I am an active member of the Acupuncture for Childbirth Team (ACT) East Anglia sitting on its steering committee. The Acupuncture for Childbirth Team (ACT) East Anglia is an established group of acupuncture practitioners who share a particular interest in the use of acupuncture for fertility in pregnancy and labour. Our aim is to promote the use and to increase the availability of traditional acupuncture prior to conception, during pregnancy, labour and the post-natal period.
